A schoolgirl in Gaibandha’s Sadullapur upazila was repeatedly raped by two men who blackmailed her with a secretly recorded video of her bathing.
The victim’s mother filed a police case on Saturday night against the accused. They were Raihan Rahman (20) and Shakil Ahmed (25).
According to case details, Raihan first filmed the girl without her knowledge while she was bathing near a tube well. He later showed her the video and demanded sexual favors, threatening to share it online if she refused.
When she resisted, Raihan raped her multiple times over several days and even recorded these assaults.
The abuse continued when Raihan’s friend Shakil called the girl on June 24, showed her the same video, and raped her using similar threats. The girl, finding no ways left, told her family. The members immediately went to the police.
The victim is now receiving medical treatment. Police are conducting raids to arrest the two accused, who are currently on the run. The case has been filed under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.
Local police confirmed they are treating this as a serious crime and are working to ensure the rapists face justice. The incident has shocked the community and raised concerns about such cases targeting young girls.
