In one hand, a bouquet of multicoloured roses — in the other, a bloodstained axe. Wearing high heels and staring ahead with steely resolve, actress Tasnia Farin appears in a striking new poster for the upcoming film ‘Insaaf’.
The movie is slated for release on the big screen this Eid-ul-Azha.
Directed by Sanjoy Samadder, the poster was unveiled on Sunday on social media, where he captioned it: “There is no place for roses in the justice of blood.”
‘Insaaf’ marks Farin’s debut in mainstream commercial cinema, known for its signature blend of song, dance, and action.

Although celebrated for her television work, she however transitioned to film through two cross-border projects. Her performance in Aaro Ek Prithibi (Another World), directed by Atanu Ghosh and released in West Bengal in 2023, earned her a Filmfare Award. In 2024, she starred in her first Bangladeshi film Fatima, directed by Dhrubo Hasan, receiving accolades at an Iranian film festival for her titular role.

Produced by Titas Kathachitra, ‘Insaaf’ features Farin opposite leading actor Shariful Raj. The film also stars Mosharraf Karim in an unconventional doctor’s role.
Previously released character posters hinted at a gangster narrative, sparking intrigue about the film’s storyline.
Sanjoy Samadder had earlier directed Manush, starring and produced by Tollywood superstar Jeet, which was released in both India and Bangladesh.
`Insaaf’ is his first directorial venture for the Bangladeshi big screen.
