Bangladesh has received $343 million in remittances within the first three days of September, marking an 11.6 per cent increase compared to $307 million during the same period last year.
From July to September 3, 2025, expatriates sent $5.24 billion in remittances. In the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, $4.44 billion was sent, reflecting a growth of 17.9 percent.
Thanks to this influx of remittances, Bangladesh’s foreign exchange reserves have surpassed $31.43 billion.
In August, expatriates sent $2.42 billion, while a record $2.48 billion was sent in July.
For the fiscal year 2024-25, Bangladesh received $30.33 billion in remittances, showing a 27 per cent rise from $23.74 billion in the previous year.
