BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has accused “special quarters” of persistently misleading the public through various cunning schemes. In his Eid-ul-Adha message, he cautioned, “We must remain vigilant against such misleading tactics.”

While acknowledging people’s temporary relief from “fifteen years of monstrous misrule,” Fakhrul emphasised the ongoing struggle for complete liberation and rights establishment.

Extending Eid greetings to Muslims worldwide, the BNP leader reflected on the festival’s essence: “Eid-ul-Azha symbolises attaining divine proximity through sacrifice. The ritual slaughter teaches us to dispel darkness through simple living and complete submission to the Creator.”

He described sacrifice as an eternal divine ordinance dating back to humanity’s dawn, with global Muslims annually renewing their dedication through this symbolic act. “As Islam’s second-largest festival, Eid strengthens human bonds beyond religious boundaries, gathering humanity from social darkness into light,” Fakhrul observed.

The opposition leader urged abandoning selfishness for human welfare, advocating peace, justice, and solidarity. “Let’s extend helping hands to the destitute this Eid, rising above entrenched interests,” he appealed, praying that “Eid-ul-Adha brings joy to all lives through Allah’s mercy.”
