The Met office has predicted rain or thundershowers with lightning and squalls in different places of the country in the next five days.
“Light-to-moderate rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and gusty winds are likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, a weather bulletin said on Friday.
Rain is likely at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy-to-heavy falls at places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
The country’s maximum temperature was recorded 35 degrees Celsius at Aricha in Dhaka division and minimum temperature was recorded 24 degrees in Bandarban on Friday.
According to the 24-hour forecast starting from 9am on Friday, most areas in Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions may experience temporary gusty winds accompanied with lightning and light-to-moderate rain or thundershowers.
