Pubali Bank PLC has demonstrated its commitment to corporate social responsibility by donating Tk 50 lakh to Gonoshasthaya Kendra, reinforcing its support for Bangladesh’s healthcare sector.
The contribution was formally handed over during a ceremony at Pubali Bank’s head office on [insert date]. Mohammad Ali, managing director and chief executive officer of Pubali Bank, presented the payment order to Gonoshasthaya Kendra chairperson Shireen Parveen Huq.
Senior officials from both organisations attended the event, including Pubali Bank’s deputy managing directors Mohammad Esha and Ahmed Enayet Manzur, alongside Gonoshasthaya Kendra’s director of finance Monika Rani Sarker.
Gonoshasthaya Kendra, established in 1972 as a charitable trust, operates the country’s largest dialysis centre, treating 250-270 kidney patients daily through its 24/7 facility. The organisation has been instrumental in providing affordable healthcare services nationwide.
As Bangladesh’s largest private commercial bank with 509 branches and 235 sub-branches, Pubali Bank has consistently supported various social development initiatives across education, healthcare and disaster management sectors.
