Paris Saint-Germain continued their impressive run of form with a 1-0 victory over Troyes at the Parc des Princes on Sunday, recording their 11th consecutive win across all competitions.

Illia Zabarnyi scored the only goal of the match as Luis Enrique’s side overcame several injury problems to maintain their position at the top of Ligue 1.

The victory also marked PSG’s seventh straight league win and moved them three points clear of second-placed Paris FC.

PSG entered the match without several important players. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele, Nuno Mendes, Maghnes Akliouche and captain Marquinhos missed the game through injury.

Achraf Hakimi received a rest, while Joao Neves started on the bench. Despite those absences, the hosts controlled much of the opening half against Troyes, who are struggling near the bottom of the table.

The breakthrough came in the 39th minute. Desire Doue took a quick corner before Senny Mayulu delivered a cross into the box. Zabarnyi rose to meet it and headed home his second goal of the season.

PSG looked likely to add more goals after taking the lead, but they struggled to finish their chances. Ferran Torres had several opportunities to extend the advantage but failed to score. The Spanish forward has now gone eight matches without a goal after scoring seven times in his first six appearances for the club.

Luis Enrique, however, defended the striker and said he was not concerned about his recent form.

“There’s no need to be worried for him. It’s normal. What matters to me is that the attacking players keep getting chances, and today their goalkeeper played very well,” the PSG coach said.

Troyes also created chances in the second half. Renaud Ripart missed a good opportunity, while Lucas Maronnier had a late goal ruled out for offside. PSG held on to secure another victory and extend their winning streak to 11 matches, their longest under Luis Enrique since he took charge in 2023.

“It is so difficult and rare to achieve,” Luis Enrique said.

“Football is always a really hard game to control. But I am happier to have won the eight games since the last international break than the 11 in a row overall.”

The PSG coach hopes his side can maintain their form when club football resumes after the international break.

“After the players come back from international duty we will try to keep doing the same thing,” he added.

PSG entered the match after a 6-0 victory away to Villarreal in the Champions League earlier in the week. They will next face Nice away in Ligue 1 before hosting Roma in the Champions League.
