Probe report in ICT case against Hasina due Oct 26

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 fixed October 26, 2025, for submission of the probe report in a case filed against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and several others over alleged enforced disappearances and killings during the Awami League’s rule.

The three-member tribunal, headed by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder, passed the order after the prosecution sought two more months to complete the investigation.

Sacked major general Ziaul Ahsan, former director general of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (NTMC) and an accused in the case, was produced before the court.

The other accused include retired major general Tarique Ahmed Siddique, who served as defence and security adviser to Hasina, and former inspector general of police Benzir Ahmed.

Prosecutor Gazi MH Tamim represented the state at the hearing.
