Prime Bank PLC and bKash Limited have signed a strategic partnership agreement to enhance the efficiency of bKash’s transactional operations through a comprehensive digital cash management service, according to a press release. The partnership will provide a 24×7, automated system that allows bKash’s distributors and agents to transfer funds between their bKash channel accounts and special bank accounts, facilitating the creation and redemption of bKash e-money.

The agreement, signed on August 4, 2025, at Prime Bank’s Head Office, will enable uninterrupted service throughout the year, including weekends and holidays. This will be accomplished through an API-based validation process, ensuring seamless financial transactions. Additionally, bKash will utilize PrimePay, Prime Bank’s omni-digital platform, to handle all domestic disbursements via host-to-host connectivity.

The ceremony was attended by senior officials from both Prime Bank and bKash, including Sajid Rahman, SEVP & Area Head-Dhaka, Corporate & Institutional Banking of Prime Bank, and Ali Ahmmed, Chief Commercial Officer of bKash.

This partnership marks a significant step towards improving the operational efficiency and digital finance capabilities of both companies in Bangladesh.
