Iranians chanting, “Death to America!” and waving flags with anti-American slogans have taken to the streets of Tehran after US airstrikes on the country’s nuclear sites Saturday.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, was pictured with students at an anti-US rally Sunday in Tehran, reports New York post quoting Iranian Mehr news agency. Pro-government supporters holding banners reading, “Down with the USA” and, “We are ready for the big battle” were seen during the protests.
Other protesters held up portraits of the country’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has not spoken publicly since the strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities.
Thousands of people gathered in Tehran’s central Enghelab Square in Tehran for the anti-US protests. Nearly a dozen people were injured during the US attacks on three nuclear sites, with four hospitalized, Iran’s Red Crescent Society said in a statement.
