Fresh from her starring role in Naked Gun, Pamela Anderson has shifted gears from the screen to the kitchen with a new venture: artisanal pickles. The actor and activist has partnered with Los Angeles lifestyle brand Flamingo Estate to launch a limited-edition release, Pamela’s Pickles — a $38 jar of spicy, floral, garden-fresh cucumbers.

The collaboration, unveiled Monday morning, was born during a breakfast earlier this year at Flamingo Estate in Los Angeles. Anderson joined founder Richard Christiansen, his partner Harvey, and her son Brandon, where she was reminded of her family’s pickling traditions from Vancouver Island — a craft she revisited in her 2023 cookbook, I Love You: Recipes from the Heart.

“What a delicious journey… and to meet at their glorious home was a kindred coming,” Anderson said in a statement. “The care that goes into these grounds and sincere collaborations is authentic. Brandon, Dylan and I are so proud to share our mutual love of condiments (especially pickles) with you. And to give the proceeds to the California Wildlife Center, which is in great need, is a prophetic call back to many Malibu lemonade stands and hours of volunteering.”

The base recipe hails from Anderson’s great-aunt Vie, whose award-winning pickles were a family staple. Pamela added her own touch with dried rose petals, while Flamingo Estate enhanced the flavour with pink peppercorn, guajillo chile, smoky sea salt, and regenerative organic Espelette pepper. The result is a crunchy, flavour-packed pickle, infused with herbs, smoke, heat and a floral brightness — perfectly matching the 58-year-old’s passion-driven career.
