It looks like sparks are flying off-camera for ‘Naked Gun’ co-stars Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson. The pair, who portray love interests in the upcoming reboot of the classic slapstick comedy, are reportedly in the early stages of a real-life romance.
Rumors of a relationship have been swirling in recent weeks, especially as the pair have been gushing about one another in the press. In a November 2024 interview, Neeson declared, “With Pamela, first off, I’m madly in love with her,” highlighting her dedication to the craft and her sharp sense of humor. Anderson, in turn, called Neeson “the perfect gentleman” and said it was an honor to work alongside him.
In The Naked Gun, Neeson steps into the role of Frank Drebin Jr., son of the character made famous by Leslie Nielsen in the original films. Anderson plays femme fatale Beth Davenport, a role that capitalizes on her recent critical success in The Last Showgirl.
Their off-screen rapport has only added fuel to the dating rumors. Anderson revealed that their bond was immediate. “Our chemistry was clear from the start,” she said, adding that they connected over “literature, a good laugh — and baked goods.” She even shared homemade bread, cookies and muffins with her co-star during filming.
When asked directly on air by host Craig Melvin if they were a couple, Neeson jokingly responded, “Craig…” with mock disappointment, while Anderson smiled and said, “I don’t understand the question.” Neeson elaborated, “We met on set and discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry… as two actors. And it was like, ‘Oh, this is nice.’ Let’s not mold this. Let’s just let it breathe.”
Anderson kept things coy but added to the intrigue with an Instagram caption that simply read: “Love is in the air.”
Neeson was previously married to actress Natasha Richardson until her tragic death in 2014. They have two sons. Anderson, famously open about her love life, has been married multiple times, including to Tommy Lee, Kid Rock, Rick Salomon and Dan Hayhurst. She also has two sons.
The Naked Gun reboot opens in theaters this Friday — and judging by the stars’ chemistry on and off screen, audiences are in for more than just laughs.
