Pakistani celebrities, many of whom have worked in Bollywood, in social media posts have strongly condemned India’s late-night airstrikes on Pakistani territory, calling the attacks “cowardly,” “inhumane,” and “politically motivated.”

Mahira Khan, one of Pakistan’s biggest stars who rose to international fame after starring in Bollywood’s Raees opposite Shah Rukh Khan, called the attack “seriously cowardly” and shared a post by Fatima Bhutto describing India as a “rogue actor,” according to a report of leading Pakistani daily, the Dawn.

Mahira said: I have a voice and I CAN use it. India, your war and hate rhetoric has continued for many years. This is not strength. This is shameful. May peace prevail.”

Fawad Khan, another actor who gained massive popularity in India with films like Kapoor & Sons and Khoobsurat, expressed condolences to the families of the deceased.

“I pray for the souls of the victims and strength for their loved ones,” he wrote. He also urged people not to fan the flames of war with provocative rhetoric.

Hania Aamir, who has a huge fan base in India and is regularly featured in Indian social media circles, wrote, “This is cruelty — plain and simple. You don’t get to bomb innocent people and call it strategy.”

Actress Ayeza Khan stood for peace and humanity, sharing, “Humanity comes first above religion, race, nationality, politics or personal interests,” while her husband Danish Taimoor posted Pakistan’s flag with a prayer for protection.

Mawra Hocane, whose film Sanam Teri Kasam was a hit in India and recently re-released, called India’s attack “cowardly” and mourned the loss of civilian lives. “May Allah protect us all. May sense prevail,” she said.

Her husband Ameer Gilani added, “We are not fighting a war enemy at the moment. We are fighting a petty neighbour with an ego-centric mindset that’s feeding fake propaganda for votes.”

Actor Osman Khalid Butt reacted sharply to an Indian social media post mocking Pakistani civilian casualties, writing, “Zionists and Hindutva extremists are cut from the same cloth.”

Activist Zulfikar Ali Bhutto emphasised Pakistan’s sovereignty, calling its people “resilient and rooted in dignity,” while Kubra Khan urged civilians to stay safe and not panic. “There is no joy in innocent lives being taken,” she said.
