The first group of Pakistan’s T20I squad landed in Dhaka on Wednesday morning ahead of their three-match series against Bangladesh, set to begin on July 20 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Led by captain Salman Ali Agha, the contingent included Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Nawaz, Abrar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, and Faheem Ashraf, along with head coach Mike Hesson and support staff. The group arrived at 8:40am from Karachi via Dubai.
The second contingent, featuring Mohammad Haris, Abbas Afridi, Sahibzada Farhan, Hassan Nawaz, Sufyan Muqeem, Hussain Talat, Ahmed Daniel, Salman Mirza, and the remaining support staff, was due to arrive later in the evening at 5:20pm.
Pakistan will begin their training on Friday at the National Cricket Academy Ground in Mirpur, as they prepare for the series opener on Sunday. The second and third T20Is will also take place at the same venue on July 22 and 24.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh are currently finishing a three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, with the series decider set for Wednesday night in Colombo. The Tigers are expected to return home on Thursday to begin preparations for the Pakistan clash.
This marks Pakistan’s first tour of Bangladesh since 2021, when they played two Tests and three T20Is. Earlier this year, Bangladesh toured Pakistan in May–June for a T20I series, which the hosts won 3–0.
