Pakistan’s military sources reported that their army shot down an Indian quadcopter on Monday for breaching its airspace near the Line of Control (LoC).

The drone was allegedly conducting surveillance in the Manawar area of Bhimber district in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir when it was detected, and was promptly intercepted by Pakistani forces, reports Xinhua.

Sources have confirmed that there were no injuries or property damage, and the wreckage of the drone has been retrieved for further investigation.

This incident comes amid ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, with regular accounts of ceasefire violations and unauthorised aerial surveillance along the LoC.
