The upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election may have 45,098 polling centres across the country. There could also be 19,000 supplementary polling booths, bringing the total number of booths to 2,80,564.

This information came from a meeting held at the Election Commission on Tuesday, for preparing the panel of polling officials and monitoring training activities for the upcoming election.

Following the completion of the 2025 voter list update, the number of registered voters is expected to reach 12,78,73,752. For the election, an estimated 2,950 additional polling centres and 19,000 supplementary polling booths will be required, increasing the total to 45,098 centres and 2,80,564 booths.
