Amid a new wave of coronavirus infections, one more death has been reported, while six new cases have been detected across the country.
The death and new cases were recorded in the 24-hour period starting from 8am on Friday, confirming the matter in a press release the following day. .
According to the release, 239 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, with a positivity rate of 2.51%.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported that since January of this year, 24 people have died from Covid-19, while the total number of infections during this period stands at 629.
So far, 2,052,174 people have been infected with the virus in Bangladesh, with the total death toll reaching 29,523.
