After making his film debut with ‘Surongo’ , following a successful career on small screen, Afran Nisho hinted at a sequel by appearing in a special role in the Eid release ‘Taandob’.

However, the actor is currently unable to begin shooting due to a knee problem that requires surgery; as a result, delaying the production of Surongo 2. Although he can move normally, he must be in peak physical condition to handle the demanding action sequences and lengthy shoot.

He shared the news during a discussion with students at the 10th International Business Genius Bangladesh event at North South University on Saturday. When asked about Surongo 2, he said, “Director Rafi knows when Surongo 2 will be released. I also have to be physically fit. To lead a fully active life, I need to have knee surgery.”

With a laugh, he added, “This has never been said before. I’m saying it for the first time today. Now if everyone thinks, ‘Your leg is broken’, I might not get any work!”

Nisho also reflected on his early career, noting that he did not come from a theatre background, but learned his craft through television dramas. “TV dramas, stage plays and films are all different mediums,” he said. “Each has its own lessons to offer.”

At the audience’s request, he recited popular dialogues from his hit films and web series, drawing laughter and applause from the packed auditorium.

Recently, Nisho signed Redwan Rony’s upcoming film ‘Domm’, in which he will star alongside fellow acclaimed actor Chanchal Chowdhury.

Shooting is set to begin at the end of this year, with a planned release on the next Eid-ul-Fitr.
