Rufus Sewell (The Diplomat) steps in as Mr. Bennet, Freya Mavor (Industry) plays Jane Bennet, Jamie Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats) is set as Mr. Collins and Daryl McCormack (Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man) will portray Mr. Bingley.
Louis Partridge (House of Guinness) joins as the dashing Mr. Wickham, while Heartstopper’s Rhea Norwood plays Lydia Bennet. Siena Kelly (Black Mirror) takes on the role of Caroline Bingley, with Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve) appearing as Lady Catherine de Bourgh. Newcomers Hopey Parish and Hollie Avery will debut as Mary and Kitty Bennet.
Rounding out the ensemble are Anjana Vasan (We Are Lady Parts), Sebastian Armesto (Gangs of London), Rosie Cavaliero (Kaos), Saffron Coomber, James Dryden (Deadpool), Justin Edwards (The Thick of It), James Northcote (The Last Kingdom), Eloise Webb (The Queen’s Gambit), and Isabella Sermon (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom).
The six-episode series is helmed by Heartstopper director Euros Lyn with a script by Dolly Alderton, who promises a heartfelt and faithful reimagining of Jane Austen’s iconic 1813 novel.
“Once in a generation, a group of people get to retell this wonderful story,” said Alderton. “Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice is the blueprint for romantic comedy – it has been a joy to delve into its pages again to bring it to life in both familiar and fresh ways.”
The series is produced by Lisa Osborne, with executive producers including Corrin, Alderton, Lyn, Laura Lankester, Will Johnston and Louise Mutter for Lookout Point.
