At the invitation of the NCP Diaspora Alliance – Malaysia Chapter, National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam will depart for Malaysia tomorrow, August 22. He will remain in Malaysia until August 24.
During this three-day visit, Nahid will engage in discussions and attend dinners with expatriate Bangladeshis, representatives of social and political organisations, journalists, human rights activists, and professionals from various fields. He is also scheduled to hold a courtesy meeting with officials from the Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia.
As part of the visit, Nahid will participate in a public event where he will exchange views with political leaders residing in Malaysia, participants of the July uprising, students, and the general expatriate community.
During this trip, he will discuss how expatriates can be more actively involved in nation-building post the mass uprising and share experiences of expatriates during the July mass uprising. He is expected to return to the country on August 25.
