NCC holds meeting to discuss agreements, implementation plans

The National Consensus Commission held a meeting today at its office in the National Parliament building, chaired by Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz.

The Commission reviewed the consensus reached with political parties during the first and second rounds of dialogue. It was decided to engage experts to further discuss the agreed proposals before continuing talks with political parties and alliances.

Discussions will also focus on the implementation process and the roles of the Commission, political parties, alliances, and the government.

The Commission has already circulated the preliminary draft of the “July National Charter 2025”, receiving feedback from most political parties and alliances. Those yet to respond have been urged to submit their opinions promptly.

Commission members Justice Md Emdadul Haque, Dr Iftekharuzzaman, Dr Badiul Alam Majumdar, Safar Raj Hossain, Dr Md Ayub Miah, and Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant Monir Haidar attended the meeting.
