The National Board of Revenue (NBR) will recruit 1,100 officials for third and fourth-class positions on its own initiative.

The recruitment circular is expected to be published later this month.

NBR Board Member and Tax Administration Member GM Abul Kalam Kaikobad confirmed in an exclusive statement to TIMES of Bangladesh, “This is the first time NBR will independently recruit 1,100 employees. The recruitment notice will be published in September.”

The move is part of NBR’s efforts to strengthen its workforce and enhance operational efficiency, aiming to boost state revenue mobilisation, he added.
