National University has started a two-day training programme on digital file management to improve the use of D-Nothi in official work and enhance the efficiency of its officials and employees.
The training was inaugurated on Friday at the university’s main campus in Gazipur, organised by the Human Resource Development and Integrity Office of National University.
The initiative was taken for the first time at the university under the direction of Vice-Chancellor Professor A S M Amanullah to increase transparency, speed and accountability in administrative activities and move towards a paperless office system.
A total of 25 officials from different departments of the university are participating in the training. After completing the programme, they will work as master trainers and assist their respective departments in introducing and implementing D-Nothi activities.
The two-day programme covers the introduction of e-file and D-Nothi systems, login procedures, profile management, document uploading and management, tracking of files, online decision-making, file presentation, note writing, preparation of draft letters, digital file numbering and branch coding.
Experts at the training include Muhammad Nazmul Islam, additional director of the Information and Communication Technology Division of the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC), and Dwijendra Chandra Das, deputy director.
The first day’s closing session included discussions on digital file numbers, file type codes and group presentations. The training programme will conclude on Saturday (22 August) through a final evaluation, after which certificates will be awarded to participants.
Muhammad Kamal Hasan, acting director of National University’s Human Resource Development and Integrity Office, is serving as the facilitator of the training programme.
