The National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital in Dhaka has resumed operations after remaining partially closed for 18 days due to an unexpected incident. On Saturday morning, doctors, nurses, and other staff members returned to work, and patients along with their attendants were seen crowding the facility. Medical personnel were observed providing care with sincerity and dedication.

“We’ve returned to the hospital this morning. Patients are also coming in. Everyone is receiving treatment, and those in need are being admitted,” said one of the hospital’s doctors.

The hospital suspended all services on May 28 following an unforeseen incident. After a series of discussions and negotiations, the emergency department reopened on June 4. Subsequently, outpatient services resumed last Thursday. As of today, the hospital has fully restarted all services. With the reopening, the long wait for eye care services has ended, offering relief to hundreds of patients in need of specialized treatment.
