The chief adviser’s National Fisheries Week programme scheduled for 10:30am tomorrow has been postponed, according to the CA’s Press Wing, in light of the Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crash in a Uttara school campus on Monday afternoon.
The programme has been shifted to Wednesday at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center scheduled at the same time.
Earlier, Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhtar had outlined plans for the July 22-28 observance, with 16 individuals and institutions to be honoured with the National Fisheries Award 2025 across seven categories, recognising exceptional contributions to Bangladesh’s fisheries sector on Tuesday.
The programme is also expected to include special tributes to martyrs of the July uprising alongside traditional activities like awareness campaigns, seminars and exhibitions.
