National Bank PLC organised its Regional Business Conference in Chattogram at the Ambrosia Restaurant conference hall on Wednesday.

The event was attended by National Bank Managing Director Adil Chowdhury as the chief guest, according to a press release.

Among the distinguished attendees were Deputy Managing Director Syed Rois Uddin, Deputy Managing Director (In-Charge) Md. Meshkat-ul-Anwar Khan, Senior Vice President & Regional Manager (Chattogram) A.S.M. Helal Uddin, Senior Vice President Mohammad Towhidul Karim, as well as branch managers from 19 branches in the Chattogram region, corporate branch managers, operations managers, and sub-branch managers.

The conference focused on reviewing the performance of corporate and other branches in the Chattogram region.

Speaking at the event, Managing Director Adil Chowdhury said, “At the branch level, we must prioritize proper risk management, cautious loan disbursement, reduction of non-performing loans, and growth of deposits. We should also work towards strengthening the bank’s market position by introducing innovative products and services for all customer segments—from corporate clients to small and medium entrepreneurs. Every officer should aim to be a symbol of trust for our customers, which should be our ultimate goal.”

He further stressed the importance of recovering non-performing loans and mobilizing new deposits. He urged branch managers and officials to work collaboratively with a positive mindset to take the business growth of the Chattogram region to new heights.
