Nasum Ahmed and Mahedi Hasan are set to link up with the Bangladesh white-ball squad in Colombo on 5 July, as the team prepares for the concluding matches of their tour of Sri Lanka.

Following their arrival, the squad will travel to Kandy on 6 July for the third and final ODI of the three-match series. The ODI will be followed by the opening fixture of the T20I series at the same venue.

While the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has not yet officially announced the T20I squad, both Nasum and Mahedi are strong contenders to be included. Nasum’s left-arm spin offers valuable variation to the bowling unit, while Mahedi, an experienced all-rounder and current T20 vice-captain, provides key balance with both bat and ball.

Their inclusion is expected to bolster the squad as Bangladesh look to finish the tour on a high note.
