Naim and Shoriful return as Pakistan opt to field first in second T20I

Pakistan have won the toss and elected to field in the second T20I against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Before opting to field after winning the toss, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha expressed his condolences to those affected by the Milestone tragedy.

With the hosts leading the three-match series 1–0, a win today would secure a first-ever T20I series victory over Pakistan for Bangladesh.

Litton Das’s side made two changes to the XI that won the opening match the day before yesterday. Opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim has been replaced by Mohammad Naim, who returns to the top of the order. Left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam has come in for Taskin Ahmed, who is rested for this game.

Pakistan, needing a win to keep the series alive, have made one change to their side.

Pacer Ahmed Daniyal has replaced spinner Abrar Ahmed in the XI and is making his debut for Pakistan today.

The match is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM local time.

Bangladesh XI: Mohammad Naim, Parvez Hossain Emon, Litton Das (capt & wk), Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hossain, Jaker Ali Anik, Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam.
Pakistan XI: Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Haris, Hasan Nawaz, Salman Ali Agha (capt), Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Abbas Afridi, Salman Mirza, Ahmed Daniyal.
