Former Lux beauty queen and actress Nafiza Jahan has welcomed a baby girl with her husband, Rajib Hasan, sharing the happy news with fans on social media on Tuesday, 20 October.
The couple have not disclosed the exact date of their daughter’s birth. Rajib announced the arrival on Facebook, posting a photograph of Nafiza resting in a hospital bed with their newborn.
“After a long wait, Allah has blessed our home with a beautiful baby girl. We are deeply grateful to Almighty Allah for this priceless blessing,” he wrote.
He also asked everyone to pray for the health and well-being of his wife and their newborn daughter, wishing them happiness, good health and long, beautiful lives.
Nafiza shared a photograph of her newborn daughter’s hand on her own Facebook account. She described the baby as her “greatest blessing, sweetest miracle and eternal love”. Her announcement prompted congratulatory messages from fans and well-wishers.
The actress has been living in the United States for several years and gave birth there. News of her pregnancy emerged in September, when photographs from her baby shower circulated on social media. The event was attended by her husband, Rajib Hasan, model Monalisa, actress Nova Firoz and actor Kazi Maruf.
Nafiza entered show business in 2006 through the ‘Lux-Channel i Superstar’ competition. She gained recognition for her performance in the television serial ‘420’ and later appeared in popular dramas such as ‘Graduate’, ‘Idiots’ and ‘Amader Golpo’.
At the height of her career, Nafiza left Bangladesh around 2013. She married an expatriate in the United States in 2015, but the relationship did not last. In November 2021, she married Rajib Hasan in New York.
The arrival of their daughter marks a new and joyful chapter in the couple’s life together.
