Police recovered the bodies of a mother and her two children from their home in Dhamrai, Dhaka, sparking panic among locals over the sudden and mysterious deaths of three family members.
The incident occurred in Rokkhibpur village under Gangutia Union of Dhamrai on Monday. The deceased were identified as Nargis (40) and her two sons—Shamim (16) and Soleman (8).
According to police, the victims’ daughter discovered the bodies in their home around noon and immediately informed Dhamrai Police Station.
Dhamrai Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Monirul Islam stated that the daughter had been calling her mother Nargis since morning but received no response. When she arrived at the house and found the door locked, she alerted the police.
Upon inspection, police recovered the bodies but found no visible signs of injury. The bodies have been sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
OC Monirul confirmed that a case has been filed at Dhamrai Police Station regarding the incident, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of death.
