Myanmar received more than $118 million in foreign direct investment (FDI) during the first four months of the 2025-26 fiscal year, state-run Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) reported on Monday.
Citing data from the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA), the report said 26 new enterprises invested in the country between April and July, reports Xinhua.
Investors from 53 countries and regions currently have stakes in Myanmar, with China, Singapore and Thailand topping the list, it said.
The increase in both local and foreign investment is expected to generate jobs and boost production, according to the report.
