Mustafizur Rahman is set for another stint in franchise cricket, this time in the UAE’s International League T20 (ILT20) with Dubai Capitals.

The left-arm pacer, who turned out for Delhi Capitals in last season’s Indian Premier League after joining for 60 million Indian rupees, will now represent the IPL side’s sister franchise in the Gulf competition.

Dubai Capitals confirmed the signing through a social media announcement, with Mustafizur coming in as a replacement for England seamer Luke Wood. Although the IL T20 auction is scheduled for 30 september, the Bangladesh star secured his place ahead of time.

This year’s ILT20 will run earlier than usual, from 2 December to 4 January, instead of its traditional January–February window. It will be Mustafizur’s fourth appearance in an overseas franchise league.

Across his career, the 29-year-old has represented multiple IPL teams Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, and Delhi Capitals. His overseas resume also includes spells with Dambulla Sixers in the Lanka Premier League, Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League, and Sussex in England’s Vitality Blast.
