Elon Musk said he is once again working around the clock, following a major outage on his social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
The outage affected tens of thousands of users worldwide on Saturday, with the highest number of reports—over 25,800—coming from the U.S. around 8:51am Eastern Time (1251 GMT), according to Downdetector. Services were mostly restored by early afternoon.
“Back to spending 24/7 at work and sleeping in conference, server, and factory rooms,” Musk wrote in a post on X. He said he is now fully focused on X, xAI, Tesla, and the upcoming Starship launch.
Users in countries including Germany, India, Canada, Australia, and the U.K. also experienced disruptions. X has not released an official statement about the cause of the outage.
Musk’s recent shift back to his businesses comes after growing concern from Tesla investors about his political involvement.
He recently said he will reduce political spending and cut back his time with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a group he led that aimed to slash public jobs and spending. Protests against Tesla in both the U.S. and Europe have led to a drop in the company’s annual car deliveries for the first time.
