A motorcyclist was killed after his bike was struck by an oil tanker on Rampura Bridge on Monday morning.
Nazmul Islam (46), a deputy manager at Privita Group, was severely injured in the accident at around 9:30 AM and was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital by his colleagues. Doctors declared him dead at 11:00 AM.
According to his colleague, Md. Iqbal Hossain, Nazmul Islam was from Narayanpur village in Jibonnagar, Chuadanga district. He lived with his wife and children in Khilgaon West Nandipara, Dhaka.
Nazmul Islam was on his way to work in Gulshan when the oil tanker collided with his motorcycle on Rampura Bridge.
Md. Faruk, the in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Police Camp, confirmed that the body has been sent to the morgue for an autopsy. Rampura Police has been notified and is investigating the incident.
