A tragic incident occurred in Nachol upazila of Chapainawabganj on Wednesday morning, where a mother and her daughter were fatally electrocuted. The victims have been identified as Hawa, 42, wife of Alamgir, and her daughter Ayesha, 21, both residents of Morafela in Nezampur union, according to UNB reports.
Monirul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Nachol Police Station, stated that the incident occurred around 5:30am when Hawa accidentally touched a live electric wire connected to an auto-rickshaw charging at their home.
In a desperate attempt to save her mother, Ayesha reached out to help, but she too was electrocuted, resulting in both deaths on the spot. A police team arrived at the scene to retrieve the bodies, and an investigation has been initiated into the incident. Legal actions are currently underway.
