Mostafa Mahmud made new CAAB Chairman

Air Vice Marshal Mostafa Mahmud Siddiq has been appointed as the new chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB).

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on July 2.

He will succeed Air Vice Marshal Md Manjur Kabir Bhuiyan.

Earlier, on June 26, another circular signed by Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Abul Hayat Md Rafique, announced the withdrawal of Md Manjur Kabir Bhuiyan from the position.

However, the reason for his withdrawal was not mentioned in the notification.

CAAB, under the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, is responsible for regulating and overseeing all civil aviation activities in the country, including airport operations, air traffic control, aviation safety, and security.
