Milestone tragedy: India sends medical specialists to assess burn victims

A team of specialist doctors from India has arrived in Dhaka to treat the victims of the plane crash at Uttara’s Milestone School and College in Uttara.

They landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 10pm on Wednesday. The team includes two specialist doctors and two experienced nurses.

According to an official from the Indian High Commission in Dhaka, the medical team will visit the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery Thursday morning to assess the condition of the burn victims.

Based on their evaluation, more specialist doctors may be sent.
