Milestone School and College has announced the closure of all five campuses, including the permanent campus, following the recent plane crash incident. While classes at all campuses, except the one in Diyabari, were initially scheduled to resume on Sunday, none of the campuses reopened.

The students who were rescued from the fire-damaged building, along with those not at the site of the accident, are all experiencing severe psychological trauma. The entire student body is under significant distress.

In the wake of the incident, classes were suspended at all Milestone campuses until Thursday. With public holidays on Friday and Saturday, the campuses were initially set to reopen on Sunday. However, this decision was reversed on Saturday afternoon, extending the closure until Monday. Classes are now expected to resume on Tuesday.

Mohammad Ziaul Alam, principal of Milestone School and College, stated, “We are in constant contact with students and parents to assess their mental health. Based on these evaluations, we will decide when students can return to the Diyabari campus.”

A counselor involved in the sessions, speaking anonymously, shared that students in counseling reported persistent fear and intrusive thoughts about the crash, the fire, and the casualties. Many are unable to sit at their study desks.
