As Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 19 prepares for its grand launch, the show might see one of the biggest international additions in years. According to a report by Bombay Times, former heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson is in advanced negotiations to enter the house as a wild-card guest.
Talks are currently centred on Tyson’s fees and availability. If the deal is finalised, he is expected to make his dramatic entry sometime in October, with a stay lasting about seven to ten days.
“Discussions with Tyson’s team are in the final stages, but the dates are still being worked out,” the report quoted a source.
The creative team is hopeful that Tyson’s presence will recreate the kind of global buzz that international stars once brought to the series. “It’s been a while since we’ve had a global celebrity inside the house, and they always added a different kind of excitement,” the insider explained.
Over the years, Bigg Boss has welcomed a string of international names, some making fleeting yet iconic appearances. Pamela Anderson’s glamorous three-day stay in season 4 is still remembered, while Sunny Leone’s season 5 stint marked her crossover into mainstream Bollywood.
Others who left their mark include Nora Fatehi, Elli AvrRam, Claudia Ciesla, Veena Malik, Mandana Karimi, Jason Shah, Natasa Stankovic, Sofia Hayat, Abdu Rozik and most recently, K-pop singer Aoora.
The grand premiere of Bigg Boss 19 began streaming yesterday from 9:30 pm on JioHotstar and airing at 11:00 pm on Colours TV local time.
