Midland Bank PLC signed an agreement with Visa, a global leader in digital payments, to launch the “Visa Direct for Account”.

This collaboration is poised to enhance Midland Bank’s suite of payment solutions and strengthen its presence in the market.

The signing ceremony held on June 25, 2025, attended by senior executives from both organizations, was presided over by Md Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director of Midland Bank, and Sabbir Ahmed, Country Manager for VISA in Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan.

The Visa Direct for Account will simplify payments for education, healthcare, travel, and other approved purposes, significantly reducing processing times compared to current methods.

Leveraging Visa’s expertise in foreign exchange, Midland Bank aims to broaden its customer base and further establish its position in the industry.

This partnership represents a significant step forward in Midland Bank’s ongoing commitment to providing efficient, innovative payment solutions and advancing its mission to increase financial accessibility and convenience.
