Many hostile forces are allegedly using the media to damage the credibility of the National Citizen Party (NCP) in a planned way.
Tariqul Islam, convener of Jatiyo Jubo Shokti (National Youth Power), the youth wing of NCP, made the allegation while addressing a press conference on Sunday.
The press conference was organised at the central office of the Student Against Discrimination at Banglamotor in the capital ahead of the National Youth Conference 2025.
“We aren’t receiving cooperation from other political parties. On the contrary, various rumours are being spread in the names of our leaders. This is being done in a planned manner,” they said.
For the first time, the National Youth Power is going to organise the National Youth Conference on August 12 at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) in Farmgate, Dhaka to mark International Youth Day, with NCP Convener Nahid Islam as chief guest.
Special guests are Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary, and Senior Joint Convener Samanta Sharmin.
Leaders from major political parties and their youth organisations — including BNP, Jamaat-e-Islam, Gono Odhikar Parishad, and Amar Bangladesh Party — will participate.
National Youth Power Member Secretary Dr Zahedul Islam, Chief Organiser Engineer Forhad Sohel, Senior Joint Convener Tuhin Mahmud, Senior Joint Member Secretary Diti Aranya Chowdhury, Youth Development Coordinator Khaled Mostafa and Senior Organiser Yasin Arafat, among others, were present at the press conference.
