Magura fruit trader’s murder: Suspect arrested

A businessman named Bhajan, 55 was brutally murdered by unidentified assailants in the Shaayabithi road area of Magura town on Saturday night. 

His throat was slit, and the body was left abandoned by the roadside around 11:30 pm.

The victim, Bhajan, was the son of Santosh Kumar Ghosh and was a well-known fruit trader in the area. The police have detained a suspect, Abir Hossain, in connection with the murder.

Magura Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ayub Ali confirmed that the murder occurred when Bhajan’s throat was cut, and his body was left by the roadside. Locals noticed the body and alerted the police. The authorities recovered the body and sent it to the morgue at Magura 250-bed hospital for autopsy.

The police are currently questioning Abir Hossain, who was arrested as a suspect. Further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances behind the murder. The victim’s cousin, Rathin Ghosh, confirmed the incident, stating that Bhajan was killed and left by the roadside around 11:30 pm.
