The 2024-25 Premier League team of the year, as voted for by fellow professionals, has been unveiled with champions Liverpool and runners-up Arsenal leading the selections.
Liverpool have four representatives in the XI, including PFA player of the year Mohamed Salah, midfield duo Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch, and captain Virgil van Dijk. Arsenal also feature strongly with defender William Saliba, centre-back partner Gabriel, and midfielder Declan Rice included.
Nottingham Forest earned unexpected recognition with two players named for the first time, goalkeeper Matz Sels and striker Chris Wood, following impressive individual campaigns.
Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, who was also shortlisted for player of the year, takes a forward spot alongside Salah and Wood.
Completing the line-up is left-back Milos Kerkez, who impressed at Bournemouth before securing a move to Liverpool.
