Light rain is likely in Dhaka today, with a slight increase in daytime temperatures, according to the met office.
In a six-hour forecast issued for Dhaka and surrounding areas on Saturday, the Met office said the sky over the capital may remain partly cloudy with chances of light rain.
Daytime temperatures may rise slightly, while winds from the west or southwest may blow at speeds of 10 to 15 kilometres per hour. The temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 28.1 degrees Celsius at 6:00am today, with humidity at 91 per cent. The maximum temperature in the capital yesterday was 32 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the latest 120-hour nationwide forecast says light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely in many areas of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. Some areas in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions may also experience rain.
Moderate to heavy rainfall is likely in parts of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. Daytime temperatures across the country may rise slightly, while night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
