Light rain likely in Dhaka

Light rain is likely in Dhaka and its surrounding areas today, accompanied by partly cloudy skies and a gentle breeze.

According to the Met office forecast for the next six hours, issued at 7 am on Wednesday, the day’s temperature may slightly drop due to these weather conditions.

The forecast states that winds from the south and southeast may blow at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour.

At 6 am today, the temperature in the capital was recorded at 28.6 degrees Celsius, with a humidity level of 82 percent. Yesterday, Dhaka’s highest temperature was 35.1 degrees Celsius, while the lowest was 28.2 degrees Celsius. The city also recorded a trace amount of rainfall in the past 24 hours.

Elsewhere in the country, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in three divisions, with thunderstorms and rain likely across most parts of the country.

According to the Met Office, most areas in Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, as well as many areas in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions, may experience temporary gusty winds accompanied by lightning and light to moderate rain or thundershowers. 

Some places across the country may also experience moderate to heavy rainfall. Both daytime and nighttime temperatures may decrease slightly across the country.
