Police have seized 20,300 pieces of Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) uniforms from a garment factory in Chattogram. The uniforms were confiscated from Ringvo Apparels in Nayarhat area under Bayezid Bostami Police Station on the night of May 17.

Three individuals, including the factory owner, have been arrested in connection with the incident, which came to light on Sunday. While police have not officially acknowledged the matter, multiple CMP officials confirmed it privately.

The arrested individuals are Shahedul Islam (factory owner), Golam Azam, and Niaz Haider.

Police sources indicate Azam and Haider had placed the uniform manufacturing orders.

When contacted, CMP Commissioner Hasib Aziz dismissed the reports as “baseless rumors.” However, a senior CMP officer speaking anonymously confirmed: “We’ve seized some uniforms and arrested three people.”

A case was filed at Bayezid Bostami Police Station on May 18 against four individuals, with CMP Detective Branch’s SI Iqbal Hossain as complainant.

The case details reveal Azam and Haider received the order in March from someone named Monghlasin Marma alias Mongh under a Tk2 crore contract. KNF members allegedly provided the fabric, with delivery scheduled for this month.
