BNP Chairperson and former prime minister Khaleda Zia is an uncompromising and widely respected leader on issues of democracy, civil rights, and political freedom.
Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain shared this in a post on his verified Facebook page on Friday.
“From the anti-Ershad movement to her courageous role against the authoritarian rule of Sheikh Hasina, her contributions remain a shining example in the nation’s political history,” he wrote.
He added, “The nation regards her leadership and wisdom as a valuable asset. We do not want to lose her. We seek the prayers of the people for the good health and speedy recovery of this guardian of the democratic process.”
