BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia is on complete rest at her Gulshan residence, Firoza, following the advice of her medical board after returning from London.
The recommendation was made after her long flight from London to Dhaka and considering her current physical condition, according to state news agency BSS.
BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan said that doctors have been regularly checking her health at Firoza as per schedule, and that she is doing very well. “Her treatment has been continuing following the advice of doctors from the London Clinic and remains under constant observation by the medical board.”
Over the course of the last two days, she has been mostly visited by her family members and close relatives, with whom she has been enjoying her time.
Her personal physician Dr AZM Zahid Hossain is coordinating all aspects of her treatment.
Khaleda Zia returned to Dhaka on May 6, having spent four months in London for medical treatment. She was accompanied by her two daughters-in-law, Zubaida Rahman and Syeda Sharmila Rahman.
