An entrepreneurship development training program, organised by the Loan and Advance Department of Karmasangsthan Bank, was held on Thursday, at the Upazila Livestock Office and Veterinary Hospital in Gouripur, Mymensingh.
The event was formally inaugurated by Karmasangsthan Bank Managing Director Arun Kumar Chowdhury, who attended as the Chief Guest. The training session was presided over by Karmasangsthan Bank Dhaka Divisional Office Deputy General Manager Muhammad Masudur Rahman. Dr. Mohammad Mahbubul Alam, Additional District Livestock Officer of Mymensingh, and Professor Dr. Jayonta Bhattacharjee from the Department of Surgery and Obstetrics at Bangladesh Agricultural University served as special discussants for the event.
Netrokona Regional Manager of Karmasangsthan Bank Md. Saidul Islam, along with officials and staff from the Gouripur branch, were also present to support the training program.
In his speech, Karmasangsthan Bank Managing Director Arun Kumar Chowdhury emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship training as a crucial tool for both poverty alleviation and improving quality of life through employment. He further underscored the need to build a productive, self-reliant, and sustainable Bangladesh, urging participants to use the knowledge gained for the betterment of society.
A total of 90 entrepreneurs from the livestock sector of Gouripur Upazila participated in the training. The participants shared their concerns, sought guidance on resolving various issues, and expressed their desire for more frequent training programs to continue empowering the local community.
