Popular band Joler Gaan is set to take the stage this Saturday, August 16, with a solo concert titled ‘Brishti Pore Tapur Tupur’, to be held at the Vintage Convention Auditorium in Dhanmondi.
Notably, the band’s frontman and founder, Rahul Anand, will not be part of the performance.
Band member Kanak Aditya commented, “Such an occasion is rare in our two decades of existence. Rahul has been living in France for a few years. We held a small event without him last year but as soon as we got on stage, we felt something was missing.”
The event is jointly organised by Joler Gaan and Cafe Vintage. According to a press release, the performance, centred around the monsoon season, will explore the emotions of love, nature and life through music.
Audiences can expect a soulful journey featuring both new compositions and beloved classics.
Joler Gaan rose to prominence with songs such as ‘Bokul Phool’, ‘Tomar Jonno Akash Bhora Tara’ and ‘Emon Jodi Hoto’.
Joler Gaan has previously won hearts with albums including ‘Atol Joler Gaan’ and ‘Patalpurer Gaan’. Their most recent album, ‘Noyon Joler Gaan’, was released in 2019.
Despite the absence of their iconic frontman, the band promises an evening of heartfelt music and emotional storytelling that stays true to their unique artistic spirit
